Engineering Support through Alliance with Honeywell UOP

Ensyn has been at the forefront of large-scale fast thermal conversion since the 1980’s.  Years of research, design, development and commercial operations by Ensyn’s multi-disciplinary engineering team has matured the RTP® technology and its products. 

Ensyn's extensive experience with the RTP technology is now complemented by a broad technology alliance with Honeywell UOP, a global leader in developing and commercializing technology for the oil refining, petrochemical, gas processing and hydrogen industries.  Honeywell UOP supplies licensing and equipment to customers building new projects for the production of certain energy products.  Honeywell UOP is also assisting Ensyn in the commercialization of Refinery Co-Processing.    

Ensyn's RTP technology is a non-catalytic analogue to Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) technology.  FCC units are used in most refineries worldwide for the production of gasoline and diesel.  Honeywell UOP is the global leader in FCC technology.

Refinery Co-processing

​In addition to licensing and supply of RTP equipment, Honeywell UOP has partnered with Ensyn in the commercial development of Refinery Co-processing opportunities.  Honeywell UOP is assisting Ensyn in interfacing with refiners and offers refineries delivery systems which allow the refiner to integrate Ensyn’s biocrude into their refineries.

Honeywell UOP carries out RTP design and engineering for biocrude production projects.  In addition, Honeywell UOP and Ensyn have established an alliance to commercialize Refinery Co-processing.
