FOOD PRODUCTS Commercial RTP Units in Rhinelander, Wisconsin and Renfrew, Ontario
Kerry Group PLC, Ensyn’s licensee in the food chemicals business, owns and operates six commercial RTP plants, five in Rhinelander, Wisconsin and one in Renfrew, Ontario. The Rhinelander RTP facilities include three units each processing 30-40 dry tons/day of wood residues, commissioned in 1995, 2002 and 2014, along with two smaller units. The Renfrew plant, commissioned in 2006, has a processing capacity of approximately 70 dry tons/day of wood residues. All of Kerry’s RTP units were designed, engineered, constructed and commissioned by Ensyn. Biocrude production from these units is used primarily for the production of food ingredients. Ensyn provides Kerry with supervision, maintenance and technical support services regarding RTP operations.
