ADDITIONAL EXPANSION
Ensyn and its partners are planning for expansion of biocrude production beyond the three leading development projects in order to met expected demand from existing offtake customers and from new customers. Several locations have been identified for new biocrude production facilities. These include opportunities with existing and new strategic alliances in North America and Brazil as well as in new areas of operation.
Expansion plans are naturally focused on locations that offer a long-term supply of feedstock at a reasonable cost and which have ready access to target offtake markets.
Ensyn prioritizes its own development efforts on opportunities in North America or that target North American offtake markets. For other international opportunities Ensyn relies on strong local entities to lead the development effort.
A key expansion initiative outside of North America is in Malaysia. Ensyn owns 20% of Premium Energy PTE Ltd., a Singapore company operating in Malaysia under the name Premium Renewable Energy (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. The focus of this alliance is to develop biocrude production projects in Malaysia and Indonesia.
