Ensyn was incorporated in 1984 to commercialize its proprietary biomass to liquid technology, Rapid Thermal Process (RTP)™. Ensyn currently provides the world’s only rapid pyrolysis process that has operated on a long-term commercial basis.

This practical, proven technology has placed Ensyn at the forefront of the bio-energy, bio-chemicals and renewable transportation fuel markets such as green gasoline, diesel and jet fuels.

Ensyn has designed, built, and commissioned seven commercial RTP™ plants in the United States and Canada; the largest, located in Renfrew, Ontario has the capacity to process 100 tonnes of dry residual wood per day. Projects now underway will result in plants 5-10 times the size of the Renfrew plant.
In total, Ensyn’s core products go into the manufacture of more than 30 commercial chemical and fuel products, all of them based on Ensyn’s unique RTP™ technology.
